Re:Connection - Post Surgery Restoration & Recovery

Often after surgery we struggle to regain our confidence back and even our body condition if surgery has caused body movement restrictions and discomfort.

If this is where you find yourself this rehabilitation package is for you.

Working together, we'll use a combination of different techniques that will include ScarWork and soft tissue therapies to help ease away the restrictions, tightness and pain following surgery, as well as muscle testing and strength building exercise. We'll also looking a nutrition for healing, wound/scar care, breathing & breathwork, and if needed emotional coaching.

Our first appointment will include a full health assessment so we can target the areas that need the most attention.

Three 90 min in person appointments.

This is what my clients say about working with me, and the positive impact our work has on their lives.

Re:Connection - Post Surgery Rehabilitation & Scar Work Therapy

Why do I have to fill in a questionnaire before my appointment?

Before your first appointment I will need you to complete a comprehensive history form.  It helps me to understand a little about you and your history.

This enables me to discover what you would like to achieve with your treatments. I can also check if there were any reason treatments would not be suitable for you.Your history will be unique to you.

It may be helpful to think of it as a timeline and go back as far as you can remember into your childhood, as our nervous system stores all of the knocks and bruises in its memory.

Please answer as fully as you can, but if you find anything difficult, don't worry as we can discuss your needs in detail in your first appointment before assessment and treatment starts.

The questionnaire will be part of the automatic booking confirmation that you receive, if you have any issues accessing the form, please can contact me and I can collect the information in a different way.

I feel embarrassed about talking about personal issues, will that matter?

Please don’t feel embarrassed, I want nothing more than for you to feel that my clinic room is a safe space and no health topics are off limits.

It may be helpful to write down what is going on for you and email it over before your session, it can feel a lot less scary than saying it out loud.

What do I need to wear for my appointment?

Most people come to the clinic wearing either sports wear or loungewear, but please do not wear tight clothing such as skinny jeans or compression leggings (unless medically prescribed).

Clothing that is too tight can be perceived as being a threat to the body – so your body thinks you’re being chased down the road by a tiger because you are wearing skinny jeans.

For nearly all of the work that we do together in the clinic, you’ll stay fully clothed.  However, there may be times where I will need direct access to your skin, particularly if we are working on a scar.  I will make sure that you feel comfortable throughout everything that we do, and I have lots of modesty drapes that we can use to help you feel more comfortable.

Where do I park?

Please park on the drive, there should be space in front of the black car. If there is no parking available, then parking is available nearby at the bottom of the Billy Trail or on the road at Richmond Drive.

I have another question that's not been answered, how can I contact you

If it is a simple question, then please email [email protected]

If you're question is a bit more complicated then please book a Let's Talk session and I can answer your questions from there.
